So Nolan has had these oxen for at least four years. He did hook them up once or twice. He decided that he needed sell them and use the money to buy some cows. His keep dying and not having heifers so his herd is dwindling. So Nolan and I had to milk that night so that Quinn could take them to Chesterfield. Nolan thought it was worth it though. (Not me)

BOOKS!!!
So the other day it was quiet in my house and that is not normal as most of you know. I went looking for the baby. This is where I found him. It was nice to not have him destroying something and actually being good. He has really got into reading books lately. Just today he drug his sister back to his room to read to him. He has a few stories every night before bed and loves it. It's pretty cute. He reminds me of Nolan that way.
ROCKET TIME!!!
So Nolan had to do a science project for his 6th grade Science class. He decided that he wanted to shoot off a rocket. We had made it previously for another project and I didn't have all the right gear to do it so we scratched that time but we did it this time. I went to school and we set it in the back of the middle school. It took him a few moments to figure it all out. But then whoosh!! Off it went!! The kids really got excited. It ended up in by the house in the background so Nolan had to scale the fence. It was pretty fun. He really enjoyed it. Oh and the parachute did not come out. We glued the cone a little too much!! Whoops!!
Garden!!!
So it's Spring. I guess. It's hard to tell most days. But I think it's here. So we have been out in the fields and we were down at the ranch and I casually mention to my dear husband that the backhoe was down there and it was dry enough to get me some dirt for my garden bed that we made last year. So we went and got a truck and loaded it up and brought it back up. So as a family we filled it up and so I'm ready to plant. Trust me this is a first. To have the actual dirt in the bed BEFORE the time of planting. It's crazy but true we are ready for planting the garden in another month. O.k. maybe not a whole month but who knows.

So For those of you that missed the concert. That's most of you including Thomas and Quinn here is some video footage. Now remember my baby was pulling on my arm and he was messing around. I tried. Kicking Up Dust
These pictures are of Quinn doing some harrowing. I had to record it because more often than not, it's me in the tractor not him. Also I thought it was kind of cool looking.
Doesn't this one look all mysterious? Or maybe just dusty.
And some more dust.
And even more dust.
Now you can see him. He's in the 4630 and the radio works so it's pretty nice.
This is a shot of the mountains from down at the ranch. I am trying desperately to make Robert Timothy homesick. Is it working yet?
Here's the old house.
The Old House again.
And again.
This is the view from the top of the lane.
I was on the 4-wheeler and lets just say that the bugs were out. It was hard to get back home. I think I ate a few.
